We are looking for enthusiastic board and committee members who will help support museum staff, and work diligently to support our mission and vision. Our vision is to be recognized as the national resource for Canada’s evolving health and healthcare history. Our mission is to inspire wonder, promote learning and create knowledge that contributes to a better future in health and healthcare.

Board of Directors
The role of the Board of Directors of the Museum of Health Care at Kingston (“Museum”) is to promote the mission of the Museum and to ensure its accomplishments and success. Its principle function is to create the context within which the management of the Museum will operate, and to delegate responsibilities as needed for oversight and management of the Museum.
Finance Committee
Oversees, reviews, and develops recommendations on issues relating to the budget, finances, cash flows, internal controls, and financial risk management. Click here for the full Terms of Reference for the Finance Committee
Advancement Committee

Human Resources & Nominating
Enables a healthy work environment (through policy development and review) that will attract and retain the talent needed to contribute to the success of the Museum. Click here for the full terms of reference for the Human Resources Committee.
Board and Committee Member Responsibilities and Duties
- Regularly attend committee meetings 4 times per year and stay informed on committee matters including review of minutes and reports (meetings are held virtually)
- Support special events and participate in fundraising initiatives by taking leadership roles
- Advocate for the organization and speak with a united voice
